My Story

Aloha! 'O Hinali'i ko'u inoa.

I started Shop.Hinalii as a sophomore in High School during Covid. Being stuck at home was not easy, and I wanted to find ways to keep myself busy. My grandma lent me a sewing machine and a few pieces of her vintage fabrics to give this hobby a shot. From there, my business was born.

From what started with a collection of 3" x 3" squares on a denim jacket turned into  such a broad creative outlet for me. Patchwork is extremely time consuming, but the end product makes those long hours so worth it.

If you come to this page looking for a reason to support my business, all I can tell you is that the fabrics I incorporate in my products are older than myself. My grandma has been collecting these for 20+ years! In Tahiti, most of these are printed one time only, so it is a privilege to give her fabrics a second life.
